Analyst, Audrey Ball(er), is radiant. Her immense passion for life, her purpose, and the people she loves is what gives her that ~glow~. And while she is a hard worker and supremely put together, this Baller knows how to have a good time, too.

1. What is your life motto right now?

Get Shit Done (GSD)! lol

My 2019 resolution has four categories: Do, Make, Give, Learn, and those goals are about  finding my interests/hobbies, achieving financial goals, volunteering, and personal development (in that order). So I’m focused on GSD in all of these categories every month!

2. What's your most-played song within the past week? Why?

Dreamy Dragon - Alison Wonderland ft. Chief Keef because it’s party music and helps me escape   the stress in my job - and gets me excited about seeing my best friend in NY

3. Your Top Three Books of All Time:

  1. To Kill a Mockingbird - loved since 6th grade

  2. Jane Eyre - I’m a big fan of Victorian-era love stories because I’m a romantic haha

  3. Pride and Prejudice - also my favorite movie of all time. Something about the Victorian/Romantic periods transport me; that’s what I look for in a novel

4. Your Approach to Health in One Sentence:

Pay attention to what I’m eating, track my macros, and sweat as many days as possible, BUT never hold back from saying yes to a treat - live your life and enjoy food!

5. Your Approach to Happiness in One Sentence:

Do what you love and find the passion that is bigger than yourself and will lift you up regardless of what’s going on personally - life is way bigger than you!

6. Your Approach to Dating in One Sentence:

Not that I’m one to know… but recently I’ve learned to hold on to the gems; let in the ones that treat you like the QUEEN you are because true love and respect are better than any of the ‘freedom’ or ‘excitement’ you think you’re missing out on being single.

7. Your Most Funny/Cringe Date:

I went on a date with a guy in his late twenties who talked about himself and his (successful) career the whole date. He then proceeded to tell me his fiancee left him a few months earlier, abruptly breaking off the engagement and leaving the state…. and I just sat there thinking I wonder why! Egos and a know-it-all attitude are the most cringe thing ever!!

8. Your Most Used Word:

Special (lol) I’ve been told I use this word more than most people. I guess I’m the sentimental type and notice when things are out of the ordinary and extra nice.

9. Last screenshot:

A picture of the list of restaurants and places I need to explore in STL. I still have so much to explore!

Not that I’m one to know… but recently I’ve learned to hold on to the gems; let in the ones that treat you like the QUEEN you are because true love and respect are better than any of the 'freedom' or 'excitement' you think you're missing out on being single.

10. What are 1-3 things you do when you feel blue to make yourself feel better? / or feel like you’re having an off day?

  • Number one is exercise.
I go hard in the gym every single time I’m there. If I’m not dying, I’m not happy with the time I spent there and after I work hard, I feel physically and emotionally relaxed and happy.

  • Number two is talk to someone I love.
I talk to my mom for hours at a time about life, career, goals, literally everything. Almost every conversation we have, I get inspired in my job or side projects. She also has a sixth sense and knows when I’m going through something and always calls! It’s crazy. And amazing that I have a mom I can rely on through any and everything.

  • Number three
Number three is just let yourself stop moving, lay on the couch for hours and watch TV if you have to. It’s ok to be lazy and just slow down and face that you’re having an off day.

11. Insert most used emoji:

12. Most inspiring quote:

Caution is fear disguised as common sense.  — Anna Quindlen

I’m learning to be more myself and not hide that, and to take risks because that’s the only way you get breakthroughs.

13. What was the last thing that made you laugh?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine which I have on in the background here. I have the biggest crush on Andy Samberg.

14. Who’s someone who you can rely on to always make you smile? Why/what do they do?

Right now I can definitely rely on my boyfriend, Nick. We met 6 months ago and while I wasn’t looking for a relationship - or even wanting one, frankly - he makes me smile because of how selfless and loving he is. He’ll give me a massage when I ask like I’m some kind of princess , he’ll put up with me when I’m stressed and find a way we can make it better, and he’ll always let me know how he feels about me. There’s never been a doubt that I’m cared for, respected, and admired with him - and that is refreshing nowadays!

15. Best advice you’ve ever gotten:

“They’re your shoes” when I told someone I feel like I have big shoes to fill and sometimes my responsibilities seem bigger than me. But I am number one in my life and there is no other me in the world (as one of my favorite instagram stars likes to say (jstlbby)). Being you is the best thing you can do, and to do it without reservation.

16. Someone/something that changed your life (for the better):

Discovering my passion for protecting the environment was something that changed and shaped my life. When I was 13 and visited the savannah of South Africa for the first time, something moved in me spiritually; I got emotional looking at the stars and eternal expanse of land around me, and I knew I wanted to protect it and the whole planet. From that point on, I’ve been passionate about living a more sustainable lifestyle and pushing for sustainability within my high school, university, company, wherever I am at that point in life. My passion has emboldened me to lead in ways I may never have been motivated to do otherwise. It gives me purpose and is my reason for all I do professionally. I want to learn all I can to one day lead a company that is moving the needle on climate change and is changing our culture toward a more responsible and sustainable way of life.

17. Most overrated advice / trend right now (in your opinion):

Most overrated trend right now is definitely instagramming your every move, thought, outfit, activity, whatever it is. It’s emptying and even if it doesn’t make you feel empty doing it, it makes people feel empty or down to look at others’ content. It breeds the constant comparison we do today because pictures of “perfection” are crafted and in front of us 24/7. And they’re not realistic.

18. Something you feel like saying:

Reflection like this helps refine values and priorities, and I think that is so valuable! I love to hear people’s personal thoughts like these, so I can’t wait to read other interviews.

19. Fave website / youtube video / link online at the moment:

Wall Street Journal. While I admit it’s not my go-to when I’m browsing (I spend way too much time on IG), it’s the website/app I feel the best spending time on. I bought a subscription this year to be more up on politics, the economy, and business because I want to bring more outside knowledge into my job and conversations

20. Fill in the blank: I’m happiest when I: _______________________

am achieving my goals and fulfilling my purpose!

21. Tag a gem who inspires you:
